( Since this Post was written I have received reports that the Sim is now completely empty. I contacted the owner, Taylor Danick. She told me that she needed to take it down because it was not able to run properly since it was built on a Homestead Sim. “Please express my gratitude to all who came by and enjoyed it and my apologies at having to take it down,” she said. “I did not expect it to be so popular… I had too many visitors and it kept crashing”)
Time for another field trip. Let’s travel to a place that is featured in the Showcase called “Lost World” From the moment of arrival there was a strange sensation that this was going to be something different. And it certainly was. Just look at this stunning view. (After waiting 10 minutes for everything to rez of course! Either SL has been running like molasses on a January day in Alaska or its time to buy an new computer)
There are Pterodactyls, Flying Pterosaurs and the little bastard that spits acid at you running round. Poisonous snakes, huge spiders and a boulder-spewing volcano add to the element of pixel danger. Any savvy 5 year old could probably name all the dinos that are roaming around.
This is one dangerous sim!. After being bitten by a Snake and being devoured by a Tyrannosaurus Rex it was time for a refreshing dip in the scalding waters below the Volcano. What fun! The waterfalls are really breathtaking and you can even take a ride around on a giant dragon fly. There is so much to see and do that this is an easy hour or so of exploration. Don’t forget your camera! There are way too many Kodak moments here that you will cherish.
Whoever made all these creatures is really talented since the quality is quite amazing. From the turtles to all the critters that are flying and hopping around in search of delectable pixel treats, it’s obvious that someone put in a great deal of time and effort to make a quality experience for people to enjoy instead of the usual drek that SL is famous for.
This guy was one of my favourites.
You dont need a time machine to get to the Lost World. Just take the TP.

Here is the official Notecard you receive when you arrive in the SIM.
Welcome to Lost World! Here you will find adventure on a prehistoric scale!
Beware of avatar-eating critters and plants living in Lost World. If you are eaten by anything, remember to click your “stand up” button to be spit out. :-) You may also encounter biting snakes and head-snapping plants. So be careful where you sit. If the ground seems too dangerous, you may hitch a ride on one of our giant dragonflies. Ride them as you would any airplane in SL.
You will find a group campfire and seating arrangement near the volcanoes on the west end of the island where you can sit and relax with friends. But please watch out for shooting lava rocks, falling coconuts and other hazards. Set your world to sunset for a beautiful vista behind the volcanoes, or set it to midnight for relaxing conversation around the campfire.
Wear your caveman/cavegirl outfits for a back-to-nature experience. But please remember that even though our sim is rated Mature, we don’t want to see any public nudity, so please keep your bits and bobs covered.
I hope you enjoy your experience here. Please visit often.
