A Bride, A Groom and a Despotic Lion

Weddings in this world are always a special occasion and I always love to take time out from running the dance club to attend one whenever an Invitation is offered.  I have been to many weddings in two years and have often heard from others “Oh, I have never been to an SL wedding; What’s it like?”  Well dear readers let me describe this latest one.

I arrived at the church and were directed to sit on one of the pews.  We were surrounded by other guests in various states of repose. There were many furries in attendence.  Note the tail sticking through the last pew.

The high priest on this occasion was none other than Lord King Emperor Mathuen Lagerlof who I guess figures that one title is just not enough.  In any case he, the groom and the best man waited patiently for the Bride, who, due to various technical difficulties, was 30 minutes late.

Is it me or does Bushman Quandry bear a striking resemblence to Ozzy Osbourne?  As you can see there was a pigeon releaser that was in operation for the entire time.   Good thing that Bull Beaumont, the groom, wore a white suit.  Also you can see that the celebrant Lord King Emperor Czar Sultan Mathuen Lagerlof really is a King…of the jungle at least.

As we waited everyone relaxed…I think I saw some of the furries behind me licking their coats shiny and I took the opportunity to photograph the crowd.

Finally the moment arrived and the Bride was ready.  Angelwhite Magic walked down the aisle (actually tumbled, SL is still a little quirky) escorted by JacksonJ Greggan and an army of bridesmaids.  The wedding party I must say made a very pretty picture, one of the better processions I have seen in Second Life.

The wedding ceremony followed and it was a beautiful exchange of vows done in voice with the local Lord King Emperor adding his jewels of wisdom to guide the happy couple towards a blissful SL union.  Ahhh, another storybook romance…
