Putting on the Ritz

Today, Tuesday was another fun-filled day in Ambrosia. The Dancers were all enjoying the music and having the usual fun time with the greatest VIPS in Second Life – the Ambrosians.
Suddenly a Notice Popped up in the corner of my screen – a package…after a brief inspection of the contents I decided to open it. Coincidently, the other dancers received that at the same time.

Dusty decided it would be a jolly good idea for us to play dress up and we all thought hey why not ,so myself, Dusty ,Angelcat and Jewells did a quick change on the stage …trying of course our very best not to reveal any naughty bits ..ooopppsss …well, we are the Elite Ambrosia Dancers and are experts in not revealing a thing …sorry haha.

I think we looked hot and the crowd loved seeing the dancers dressed up.

So Big big Thanks to Dusty for making our day a little more fun than it usually is 【ツ】

Viewer Wars

Lots of people complain about the new Viewer 2.0 and I must confess I have been one of the most vociferous opponents of it. The interface is dark and dreary and notices become obscured. There are so many things I did not like about it that the list was too long to put here. I knew however that change could make it better and that someone out there would remove some of the more annoying aspects of it. There are many good things in Viewer 2.0 such as web on a prim and easier to change into outfits you create in your inventory.

Well, if you are just have the ability to follow some simple directions then there is already one third-party skin available for download which is the Starlight skin created by Hitomi Tiponi.

Here is a screenshot of some of the fixes you will see by downloading and installing this new skin.

Once I installed it I was over joyed by the fact that it removed the one thing I found most annoying about Viewer 2.0 – The way that the the right-hand slidebar squashed the display rather than moving smoothly over it so that it would overlay the main viewer screen This abrupt squashing of the main screen seems to be what most people hate about the new viewer besides the dark and dismal colors chosen.

Installation is very straightforward and a snap. Try it, you might start to like viewer 2 again.

Magazine Features Club

Here is a great article about Ambrosia Dance Club that was published in the first edition of SLC Magazine. I had no idea that they were doing a story until today when I got a notecard from Ciarra Lexington informing me that she is a writer for a new magazine in Second Life and that as her first assignment she did an article on Ambrosia.

I checked it out and must say this is a slick publication. DJ Axl is very pleased to have a starring picture in the article. Check it out here http://issuu.com/slcmagazine/docs/slc_issue_1?mode=a_p

Costumes rule my world

Part of the fun of being in a virtual world is the ability to dress in fantasy outfits. In the real worlds you would probably never be caught dead in half the outfits that are available. In our universe you can be anything from a cowboy to a roman legionnaire to a slutty fairy princess. A lot of normal every day “streetwear” for both male and female avatars feature a lot of skin and parts showing. But with gravity-defying bewbies you can get away with a whole lot more than you could in reality. Some of the costumes are such total surprises that you really don’t know what the wearer is supposed to be, but its still way cool looking anyway. There is no mistaking what Nevea is supposed to be in this outfit.

One of the best costume designers in Second Life has to be Surreal LeShelle from Deviance Designs located in the Ambrosia Mall. Here latest outfit is called Enchanted and she modeled it off for me when she came by to update her store. All I can say is WOW! It makes me want to put on pointed ears and join whatever cult she is leader of.

The details of this outfit are exquisite down to the little sculpty skulls on the belt and the Staff of Power she grips. It is available in a wide variety of colours so you can buy them singly or save with a multipack. I cant wait to see your most amazing costume next time you come in to the Ambrosia Dance Club.
