Ambrosia Dance Club

Tuesday was another fun day in the club with lots of great music and dancing. Reno Segall entertained at the 6 PM hour with a boisterous set of rock classics.

We had an impromptu Beach party complete with Soca music, Sand Palm trees and an awesome Conga Animation. Genna Scorpio led off the line and at one point there were over 15 avatars kicking it on the dance floor. Ambrosians certainly know how to have a good time.

The Best part of any party at Ambrosia is the spontaneity. You never know what will happen between wandering elephants, foam parties, and wisecracking tigers.

Am I nervous having someone with the tag “Lord Crazy Pants” following behind me in a conga line? Looks frantically in his inventory for frying pan to put over butt. Stay tuned for more~!

At Ambrosia there are lots of DJs and they all spin a variety of music. Curiously, people want to hear the same songs over and over again. But how many times can you hear Lady Gaga’s Disco Stick before you want to jam knitting needles into your skull? Well, I guess that is why they call it popular music. Naturally the DJ’s want to be popular so they play the same tripe over and over because people ask for it.

So next time you come to Ambrosia don’t ask the DJ for something common. Be bold, be unusual and ask for something that you normally wold not hear. Just don’t ask for Hansen unless you really feel like plunging into the dark cold ocean.

Designer Tad Nightfire and the team at Bootgasm are the latest addition to the Ambrosia Mall. Their brand new shop covers 900 sq meters and is chock full of boots, boots and more freakin’ boots!

I asked his Bootgasm Promotion Manager Naurel Glas what started Tad on his journey to become a boot maker. Apparently. it was after she had gone on a shopping spree and spent 28000 Lindens on boots, that a light went off in his head. According to Tad, “I thought I had better start making my own boots for her or risk SL bankruptcy”. From such humble begins empires are made.
