Camping is fun!

For a little bit of fun it’s always entertaining to stand at the Teleport Point where people enter the Sim and greet them as they arrive. Since Ambrosia has been getting well over a 1000 visits a day lately the TP Point in the center of the mall is never a dull place.

It started out with me sitting in a lawn chair saying hello. Then Dj Starlisha popped in and decided to join in the fun. She decided that the folding lawn chairs were a bit too unlady like with the man’s open leg sit animation, so she rezzed a rustic Adirondack Chair.

It is amazing what we have in our inventories. Naturally the call had to go out for a well done thin crust pizza with peppers, onions and sausage. New arrivals are rather perplexed and have to ask “What are you doing?” The only answer is, of course, that we are camping. Things get out of hand,as things tend to do, so it’s into the inventory for a campfire, a frying pan and and other camping necessities. As more people arrive, more lawn chairs are requested as people want to join in to the simple joys of the great outdoors.

Wow, whats going on? People are talking to each other! New arrivals are greeted and want to join in on the fun and suddenly its a chillacious party in the mall. This is not the camping that we know from Second Life! This is fun! And this is the only camping that should ever be allowed. You get 0 Lindens for every 20 minutes spent. And it will be the richest pay you have ever earned. Real interaction and the chance to mock arriving mutants. Life is good!

Safari Time

Today’s random map teleport finds us in “Nigeria in Africa” Sim. Upon Landing you find yourself in the middle of colorful flowers under Palm trees with parched earth beneath your feet and a few colorful indigenous creatures scampering about. So far so good!

There is indigenous music coming over my speakers. The Lyrics sound kind of like this – “Objiwa Collo Bagoombo Alla mE ala woo ollo koo” – with a lot of drums accompanying it and syncopated beats. It will either totally put you in the mood for your safari or will drive you completely bonkers and make you want to plunge knitting needles into your eardrums. I just turned it a bit lower.

Holy Creepy Crawlers – Its a termite mound with lots and lots of – well actually I think they are ants but i suppose that was all they could find and close enough. They actually crawl around and an aardvark comes and licks them up. It is a bit mesmerising. I spent several minutes staring at this scene. They just keep on coming!

There are friendly elephants to ride around while listening to “Objiwa Collo Bagoombo Alla mE ala woo ollo koo” – OMG I have to turn this down more.

There is a great store called Cacao where you can get native clothing and accoutrements to feel right at home whilst listening to the maddening beats of my favourite song “Objiwa Collo Bagoombo Alla mE ala woo ollo koo” Then its off to the local village where people dwell in cylindrical domiciles and and cook around open fires whilst braiding one another’s hair.

This is the perfect place to come down with Dengue Fever! You can even rent one of the Cylinders to live in if you ever decide to go native. Oh, a new song is on – “Bosongo Onijawa Deyoo Anima Patitoo Bagumba.” Perfect to wash my clothes to. So many activities here in Nigeria!

And when your busy day is done you can just sack out and chill to the beat. I found this hammock next to the Nigerian Ocean to be perfect for lazing in the sun listening to music from Itunes. I can only handle so much “Bosongo Onijawa Deyoo Anima Patitoo Bagumba.”

I highly recommend an African Safari to all Ambrosians!

Here is your Jeep ride.

High School Musical

Ambrosians took over the stage on Saturday night to practice for the upcoming musical production of High School Musical. Ha ha , well not really. It was just another fun whacky show and we decided to see how many people we could fit on the stage. Doesn’t everyone look great? I marvel over how well dressed everyone is lately when they come to the club. If only we could get everyone to line up and not bump into each other. Heel Toe Heel Toe Step bump Kick! Perhaps we should see if anyone out there is a real life Broadway choreographer.

Remember to check the calendar often to find out when your favorite performer will be up on the big stage. We have added a dozen more over the last 2 weeks with more new ones coming every day. If you have the right stuff to be a performer at the club don’t hesitate to come in and fill out an application. The party never ends at Ambrosia with true 24/7 coverage and of course no bots and NO campers. Just real people having pixel fun.
