We are very proud to now feature motion capture dances by There in Spirit. These are dance animations for Second Life captured using sophisticated sensors attached to real dancers. The results are stunning. You can try out all the latest by just walking up to the club from the Teleport point.
‘
The dances are extremely realistic and are totally new to SL. You can check one of them out here on Youtube.

Pretty much everyone these days sports a group tag.  People visit a venue, a blue box pops up, and boom you are a VIP. But what do you get for this VIP membership? Most times you get annoying chat spam and invitations to non parties.
Becoming an Ambrosian though is different. One must be invited to join the group and each and every member is treated like Ambrosia is their home…unless of course you whip out a giant pecker, then the cold ocean below becomes your home.
Ambrosians will never be subjected to incessant chat spam since that option was allowed to be disabled finally by the Lindens. Notices are sent out for DJs and live acts only and not for silly random reasons.
And finally wearing your Ambrosia tag shows that you believe in entertainment the way it should be – devoid of gimmickry such as Sploders and gamed contests where the owners and their friends enter and win.
Ambrosians enjoy entertaining personality DJ’s that do not have microphones made by Fisher Price and they can be assured that they will be entertained by the best live acts in SL.
When Ambrosians walk through the great entrance they know that they are home from the moment that they receive all the warm greetings from the staff. Ambrosians know the lay of the land since everything is laid out like it would be in a real dance club. And Ambrosians are always assured that everyone in the club is real and that no one is a bot. And that all the dancers have been carefully screened for real life hotness and to be 100% woman. Well maybe 99.9%. You never know if some really good actor slipped in. It is the internet.
Ambrosians can be sure that excessive annoying gestures and chat spam will be squashed, that rude tactless perverts will be banished, that giant oversized pushing avatars will be expunged and that skanky crack whores will be sent plunging into the dark ocean below.
And that’s why we choose to be Ambrosians. Why put up with the usual SL nonsense? Come home.

This morning we had some unresponsive avatars on the dance floor. What started out with a little fun quickly escalated into full blown robot weaponry. Sleeping is bad.

Naturally this kind of breaks the no robot rule, but what fun! In the words of Geemix Newell, “He’s like R2D2 on steroids”. Go Noiz, our hard rockin morning DJ!

Saturday night’s performance by singer guitarist Strum Diesel was a special treat for all the Ambrosians in attendance. He played his usual hour long set of originals that describe events in his life and then went on to treat everyone to an extra hour of additional covers and originals!

Listening to Strum’s show gives the listener a sense of the complex man behind the guitar. His angst, his fears, hopes and aspirations are all on display in his original compositions. He conveys the emotion behind the tragic events he has experienced or his happiest moments through his lyrics and stirring guitar riffs.
Strum loves to play at Ambrosia! “You can feel the energy in the room and it feeds back into me,” said Strum. “If Phil did not yank me off the stage I would have played for three hours”
You can read more about Strum on his Bio Page.
