Ambrosia Dance Club

When Harper Messmer pulls into town he makes his presence known in a BIG way.  In his debut peformance at Ambrosia he played to a fully  packed sim this evening. The sim was maxed out at 50 avatars so the limit was raised just for fun. We hit 61 people which is a new all time record for the club.

Harper launched his set with a fantastic cover of Timbaland’s  “Apologize”.  He then shot out an awesome medley of contemporary songs like American Boy and performed a haunting version of Wonderland by John Mayer that was simply “Messmering”.  He also threw in some oldies such as Steve Miller’s “The Joker” .

Harper’s voice was  a flamethrower and the ladies in the audience were ice cubes. How so?  The night janitor spent an hour cleaning up all the melted ladies off the dance floor after the show.   With his fine mix of live guitar and vocals Harper was a genuine crowd-pleaser.

Messmer’s quips between songs were entertaining and  he even pronounced Ambrosia Dance Club backwards which is no mean feat.

Harper closed out his act with a  version of Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars”  that was so perfect  it brought people to tears.

He will be returning on Wednesday, March 25 at 9:00 PM so mark your calendars to see this superb artist!

Quite a few people showed up at the Friday night party last night.  There were some great outfits worn by Ambrosians as they boogied to the beats of DJ Emily and DJ Jil.

Phil Kearny: Lor, I would love for you to write another fashion article but this time on how to avoid dreaded J- lo Butt.

Lorellai Kondor: what do u mean?

Phil: Well, I have noticed that certain dresses make women’s booties look abnormally huge.

Lorellai: Ahh, some yes. But some girls really do have huge asses. It looks like this huge ass thing is popular lately haha.  The problem is because they have huge asses, no clothes fit them nicely.  Some wear prim skirts… and they don’t know how to resize them so it looks funny.  I hate when people put appearance sliders  to the limit. It’s madness.

Phil:  We should make what you just said into an article .  In fact, I think that we just did.  I will write it.  So you are saying there is no such thing as J-lo ass?  Last night, (Name Deleted) came in to the club with a long dress on and her ass was the size of Texas.

Lorellai: Creators usually make dresses for  a slim avatars. My avatar was “bigger” once too. but i decided to buy a new shape and its better now because everything fits me. It’s not only with asses but also with boobs.  Some woman feel that they have to walk around with casaba melons and its hard to get clothing to look right.  Let me show you a picture.  i took a photo a recently of a woman while I was shopping .  She was abnormally huge!!

Lorellai: ahaah haah ha

Lorellai: Maybe the photo is a bit weird. She looked much bigger at the time. I  don’t have anything against big asses.. really… just if you have such a shape for God’s sake put some clothes on which suit your figure.

Phil: Very true

Lorellai:  It is the same stuff with bling. See (Name Deleted) over there.  She lately really wears better clothes, nice clothes actually but she blings too much. If she woudn’t bling out of every peice of jewelry she wears she would loook fantastic.

Phil: Yes it’s kind of like looking at the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center.

Lorellai: Oh.. about big asses also this.. usually the SL default skirts gives you a fat ass.
That’s a skirt which is not a prim skirt but made like shirts etc.  You need a special shape to wear that because a normal shape doesn’t fit in to that skirt. it makes your ass look huge.  i bet (Name Deleted) was wearing an SL skirt thats why her ass looked big.

Phil: I think that is what i was meaning when i started the whole conversation.  Certain dresses make a woman with a usually normal behind look like they have been feasting on ice cream and nachos for a week.

Lorellai: Yup. I hate SL skirts. Just because of that. It makes the ass look big.

DJ Emily complained loudly that she had nothing to wear for the event but it looks like with a little imagination and inventory digging you can always come up with an outfit.  Just type “green” into inventory and something is sure to pop up.

Lorellai has a shoe dilemna

Lorellai loved her outfit but she could not find a suitable color for the heels to match the rest of it.  She spent the day languishing in a depressed state followed by yet another maniacal shopping spree.

After finding her contact lens, Starr had the vision to come up with this enchanting number.  Begorra!, this outfit raised a few shelalies I am sure!
