She’s got legs

It is hard to believe how time flies when you are having fun.  It seems like almost yesterday when the club first opened its doors on a little lot on mainland in Sabra sim.  Today marks an occasion.  Ambrosia Dancer Weekday Market celebrates her two year anniversary today at the club.  She carries the special tag of Prima Donna for being the longest continuously active dancer at Ambrosia.

A proper English lady, Weekday is known for her biting sarcasm and penchant for multiple cups of tea throughout the day.  She can be found almost every morning at the club greeting and chatting with guests.  Congratulations to Weekday and we hope that you are not going to retire anytime soon.

Saturday rocks with Froezz Moonites

Events Comments Off

Live artist Froezz Moonites played  at 12 pm Saturday with an amazing set of originals and cover songs.  His sound was crisp clean and professional and Ambrosians were truly impressed.

Drawing on his talents as a sound engineer, Forezz combines a complex variety of backing tracks and harmonization that integrates seamlessly with his live guitar and vocals.  The result is a highly polished performance that  blows people away and leaves them wondering if they are really listening to a live act.

You can read more about him on the entertainers page.

Ambrosians offered up these comments on his show.

Ronstorm Greggan: Oh i like him he has good original tunes too…Yes he is a good writer…hope ya have him back again

Music Critics

Events, Random Rants Comments Off

The Club currently has 19 DJs and 9 live performers on the roster.  These entertainers cover a huge variety of music ranging from Country to Techno to Cambodian Death Reggae.  There is something for everyone to enjoy.  Sometimes, however,  patrons will arrive at the club and decide that the music being played by the current performer is not up to their exacting standards.  They will say things like “This song sucks” or “Play something good”.

Well to these talentless douche bags I offer a hearty “blow me”.  It’s not an easy thing for a DJ or performer to get up on stage and entertain a group of strangers. Some just seize up completely and are unable to speak even though its just a bunch of avatars. I would love to put these back biters up on the stage and hear what they have to offer. My guess would be little to nothing.

So, for a person to criticize others on their choice of music is not only pointless but cruel.  If the critic does not enjoy the music is it not best to just leave?  What would happen if they were go into a real life venue and shout out on the dance floor how much the DJ or Singer sucks?  They would have 3 bouncers tap dancing on their face in the alley.

Some people feel that the anonymity of Second Life allows them to do and say things that they would not normally do in real life.  But it works both ways.  Unlike in real life our staff can set a heckler on fire and send them plunging 300 meters into the ocean without fear of legal recriminations.

Enjoy the show!
