Saturday rocks with Froezz Moonites

Live artist Froezz Moonites played  at 12 pm Saturday with an amazing set of originals and cover songs.  His sound was crisp clean and professional and Ambrosians were truly impressed.

Drawing on his talents as a sound engineer, Forezz combines a complex variety of backing tracks and harmonization that integrates seamlessly with his live guitar and vocals.  The result is a highly polished performance that  blows people away and leaves them wondering if they are really listening to a live act.

You can read more about him on the entertainers page.

Ambrosians offered up these comments on his show.

Music Critics

The Club currently has 19 DJs and 9 live performers on the roster.  These entertainers cover a huge variety of music ranging from Country to Techno to Cambodian Death Reggae.  There is something for everyone to enjoy.  Sometimes, however,  patrons will arrive at the club and decide that the music being played by the current performer is not up to their exacting standards.  They will say things like “This song sucks” or “Play something good”.

Well to these talentless douche bags I offer a hearty “blow me”.  It’s not an easy thing for a DJ or performer to get up on stage and entertain a group of strangers. Some just seize up completely and are unable to speak even though its just a bunch of avatars. I would love to put these back biters up on the stage and hear what they have to offer. My guess would be little to nothing.

So, for a person to criticize others on their choice of music is not only pointless but cruel.  If the critic does not enjoy the music is it not best to just leave?  What would happen if they were go into a real life venue and shout out on the dance floor how much the DJ or Singer sucks?  They would have 3 bouncers tap dancing on their face in the alley.

Some people feel that the anonymity of Second Life allows them to do and say things that they would not normally do in real life.  But it works both ways.  Unlike in real life our staff can set a heckler on fire and send them plunging 300 meters into the ocean without fear of legal recriminations.

Enjoy the show!

The Hits Just Keep on Comin!

It is getting hard to keep track of all the new talent that the club is attracting these days.   We have added many new DJs and Live artists to the schedule in the last week.

A typical Day at Ambrosia now has over 12 hours of scheduled Djs and live performers playing a wide variety of musical genres from all over the world.  You are sure to find something that you will love.

Last night we featured live performer Rara Destiny who played acoustic guitar and sang wonderful originals and covers on the big stage to a receptive and appreciative audience.

Added to the DJ roster is DJ Tannen who will be playing some late night shifts in the upcoming weeks.  His deep rich voice and compelling mash up tracks had the VIPs begging for more.  And he was more than willing to oblige them.

We would also like to welcome Dj Noiz to the morning shift. He brings a harder edged rock mix to our early morning hours to get the blood circulating and wake up sleepy Ambrosians. Be sure to check on the calendar to keep up to date on all the great new talent that is coming in to perform.

Dusty’s Dance Party has been in full swing every morning starting at 6 AM.   She has been reporting larger and larger numbers every week as people find out the fun that can be found at that hour. Dusty has over 65 dances to choose from in her chimera so you can look like the most amazing dancer ever.

Club traffic has been hovering close to the 20,000 mark all week and we would  like to thank everyone for the support which has made Ambrosia the place to hang out in Second Life.

Andreus Performs Live

Ambrosia now has a live music scene that is erupting with talent and infusing the club with new life. Guitar virtuoso  and vocalist Andreus Gustavson from the state of Tennessee played on Tuesday night  to a  large and enthusiastic crowd.  With his soaring guitar rifts, awesome backing tracks and striking vocals, Andreus sounds like an entire band.  He is a consummate professional; presenting a slick and polished performance.

He  comes to the gig  with a full set up keyboards, guitar and huge drum tracks – and is an amazing force on stage.

Andrues’ version of  “Boys of Summer” was totally  awesome! His guitar wailed out riff after riff. He then launched into a cover version of “Money for Nothing” by Dire Straits that was spot on.

Playing progressive rock songs, he brought us to unprecedented musical heights as he his power chords and melodic picking created a sonorous musical experience at Ambrosia.

One great moment was when he stopped mid set for a toast so everyone could share a drink.

The crowd shared some comments:

Birds eye view of the venue

Ariona Afterthought: He’s the best live performer I’ve heard I think. I’d definitely have him back!

Stephanie Canucci: He brings forth extraordinary warmth and a dynamic chemistry of musical interpretation.  Top performance, a one man dynamo!  Thanks Bossy for bringing this talent to Ambrosia.

Johnnny Cyberschreiber: The  music is really good, it is better than a lot I’ve heard.

Veronika Skinstad: Andreus sings a wide variety of songs but there’s one thing consistent with all the music:  it’s amazing.  Besides his mellow vocals, his guitar playing will leave you coming back for more.

Noob Noobison: How do you stop dancing?  I can’t stop dancing! Click on what?

Jacqueline Sugarplum: Andreus’ smooth voice, and instrumental talent had me wanting more! I wished he could have stayed longer! I can’t wait for his return.

Bard Wasp: Ok…I’m blown away……unbelievable..

Andreus finished his set (to the crowds disappointment) with a song by Coldplay, “Fix You”.  What a performance!

The Ambrosia Dance Club looks forward to advising you all of Andreus’ next performance.  Stay tuned.
